Overview

Mica Cocco specializes in federal securities class actions. Mica has also represented plaintiffs in common law fraud and breach of contract class actions.

Mica’s experience includes deposition-taking, attending mediations and hearings, conferring with opposing counsel throughout litigation, communicating with clients, and drafting complaints and briefs, among other legal documents.

Mica first joined the firm as an intern, working with the Grant & Eisenhofer ESG Institute and the firm’s corporate litigation practice groups while still in law school. As a securities litigation associate, Mica remains a part of the ESG Institute and a member of the firm’s ESG committee.

Prior to joining G&E, Mica was a legal intern at an immigration law firm in New York.

Areas of Focus

Experience

  • Represented public pension funds as lead plaintiffs in a securities class action against Celsius Holdings, Inc. and certain of its officers, alleging that the company artificially inflated its net income by underreporting its stock-based compensation expense. Recovered $7.9 million on behalf of the Class.
  •  Represented class of limited partners against GPB Funds and several of its auditors, alleging that GPB carried out a fraudulent Ponzi-like scheme for years and that its auditors aided and abetted the fraud by, among other things, issuing clean audits. Recovered $46 million from the GPB Auditor-Defendants on behalf of the Class.
