Dodemaide

We take a selective approach to the cases we recommend to our clients, and only pursue cases where there is a real client benefit and viable path to recovery. When officers or directors commit fraud or put their own interests ahead of ordinary shareholders’ interests, I like figuring that out and doing something about it by framing the very best claims and strategy to take forward.

Overview

Andrew Dodemaide identifies and develops potential securities class actions, as well as cases involving breach of fiduciary duty under Delaware law, for participation by firm clients—typically institutional investors.

Creatively relentless in his hunt, Andrew stays abreast of relevant legislative changes and other developments in order to seek new theories of liability to maximize shareholder protections and interests.

Andrew continuously monitors public filing announcements and disclosures, looking for fraud, self-dealing, or other conduct by directors and officers that may be undercutting shareholder interests. As the firm also monitors clients’ investment portfolios, Andrew can promptly investigate any suspicious losses or other questionable developments reflected therein.

If an investigation suggests that investors were misled or something was concealed from them and this has led to a significant loss or harm, a case can move forward. Andrew also regularly drafts client communications presenting and explaining these opportunities for redress.

Prior to joining G&E, Andrew worked at a law firm in Philadelphia where he practiced domestic and international securities litigation.

Outside the Office

While I haven’t flown since my son was born, I remain a licensed pilot. Flying a plane is 50% rollercoaster ride and 50% physics class.  It’s a special feeling flying over the beach or up the Hudson River, past the Statue of Liberty—or even just doing laps over Philly proper (they let you do that if you talk to the tower). I flew my wife once over the Arches and Canyonlands National Parks in Moab, Utah, which was beautiful. I look forward to getting up there again soon.
