Gittler

I relentlessly advocate for my clients and strive to have a meaningful impact on their lives by pursuing the justice they deserve.

Overview

Garrett Gittler focuses his litigation practice on complex mass torts and catastrophic personal injury cases. He is a strong writer and oral advocate who thinks quickly on his feet which allows clients and colleagues alike to trust that, if a situation arises, he will make decisive decisions for the betterment of his clients.

Garrett is particularly committed to pursuing claims for survivors of child sexual abuse. These efforts include fighting challenges to Child’s Victims Act laws around the country, which are intended to abolish statutes of limitations for child abuse claims. Garrett was a member of the G&E team that fought one such challenge all the way up to the Maryland Supreme Court and won. This victory allowed thousands of Maryland survivors to pursue claims against their abusers.

Along with partner Adam Gomez, Garrett has also been pursuing video game addiction claims against large manufacturers around the country. These companies have placed profits over the safety of children, by designing games in a way that intentionally hooks the child and never lets go. The G&E team is seeking to hold these manufacturers accountable.

Prior to joining G&E, Garrett was an associate at the Philadelphia office of a national law firm where he focused on professional liability, catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims. This defense-side experience provides valuable insights into how businesses think, how they are insured and their leverage points for settlement purposes.

Outside the Office

I am an avid Philly sports fan and love to spend my free time golfing. My wife and I also enjoy staying active by long distance running or strength training. In recent years, we have run in several different races including the Philadelphia Marathon and Marine Corp Marathon in Washington, DC.
