It is incredibly satisfying to be able to fight for vulnerable people who have been abused or wronged by the system, and to hold our government and its partners accountable. We strive to send a message to the government that they cannot simply ride roughshod over people’s constitutional rights.
Overview
Litigator Ken Massey fights zealously for people whose civil rights have been violated, either in individual cases or on behalf of a class.
Clients have included people who have been wrongfully imprisoned, former detainees in ICE facilities who have been forced to work under substandard conditions and for no compensation, and survivors of sexual assault.
Ken manages the day-to-day aspects of these cases, including handling matter intake; setting out the litigation’s strategy and specific claims in a way that best articulates the harm they have suffered; conducting research and drafting motions; managing all aspects of discovery (including taking defendant depositions), and appearing in court; he recently argued one of the firm’s favorable decisions on appeal. Carefully listening to his clients, he strives to focus on their subjective needs, to try to arrive at the most effective compensation or other relief.
