Civil Rights Associate – Wilmington, DE

G&E litigates matters involving sexual harassment or assault, discrimination, private prison abuse, wrongful incarceration, Section 1983 claims, and other egregious civil rights violations. We are actively recruiting an experienced litigator to join this fast growing practice group in our Wilmington, Delaware office.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of  6 years’ experience of complex litigation experience in either defense or plaintiff civil litigation cases
  • Strong academic performance, journal membership is preferred
  • Experience with taking depositions, handling oral arguments and hearings
  • Superior writing skills with experience in briefing and appeals
  • Previous civil rights experience a plus

Litigation Paralegal – Wilmington, DE; New York, NY; and Chicago, IL

We are actively recruiting for an experienced Litigation Paralegal. This person will be responsible for supporting our fast-paced, dynamic Complex Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Litigation practice, based in our Wilmington, Delaware office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large volume of clients which will include:

  • Serve as main point of contact for clients in all matters relating to litigation
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing client correspondence
  • Tracking client medical information
  • Assist with drafting factual complaints, cite-check and proofread legal documents to ensure proper formatting and compliance with local, state and federal court rules
  • Prepare summons and complaints, answers to interrogatories, fact-sheets, exhibit lists, subpoenas and supporting materials for filing with the court.
  • Maintain case calendars
  • Perform legal research  using various research tools, including the Internet, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER and various public-access websites

Required skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience with all phases of the litigation process
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and timelines
  • Proficiency using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, Westlaw, LexisNexis and PACER
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification preferred
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Legal Research Analyst – Wilmington, DE

The Research Analyst, will be directly involved with all aspects of investigating, researching, gathering, analyzing, and utilizing market intelligence as well as assisting in the creation of marketing copy for G&E’s Business Development Group. This person will report to the Director of Marketing.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Carry out the successful investigation, development and completion of client and market research and analysis projects
  • Creating marketing copy for the firm’s collateral and published materials, web and social media sites, and various other outlets
  • Investigate and maintain client and fund profiles
  • Monitor and update internal charts
  • Draft firm superlative submissions, RFP responses and other internal materials
  • Ensure that accurate, clean data records are maintained.
  • Integrate critical investigative and market research into customized relationship management systems
  • Prioritize and handle ad hoc projects with minimal supervision

Candidates should have superior writing and research skills. Prior experience as a Paralegal or legal or investigative researcher strongly preferred.

Client Services Specialist – Remote Position

The Client Services Specialist plays a key role for the Mass Tort Litigation team. This position is the first point of contact with potential and current clients and is responsible for collecting and processing data for attorney review. The Client Service Specialist also completes medical records requests and tracking as well as provides legal administrative support for the practice group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming contact from prospective and current clients via phone or email
  • Process and track intakes for potential clients
  • Keep accurate records of all communications on daily basis
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing correspondence via electronic and paper mail
  • Sends and track client agreements and retainer package documents
  • Processes and tracks medical records requests
  • Assists the team with client fact sheet collection and processing
  • Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years in a Client Services role in a professional services, medical, or law firm environment
