Brown-Pasquarello

With a passion for justice and a wealth of experience in environmental law, I work tirelessly to hold corporations accountable for pollution to our environment and secure redress for impacted individuals and communities.

Overview

A dedicated environmental lawyer with over 20 years of complex civil litigation experience, Leanne Brown-Pasquarello focuses on sovereign and public entity representation, primarily in matters to rectify systemic environmental contamination.

Since 2018, Leanne has been part of the team serving as Special Counsel representing state Attorneys General and municipalities in environmental litigation against Monsanto Co., Pharmacia and Solutia, arising out of their production, marketing and sale of toxic PCBs, which now contaminate natural resources and municipal storm water systems throughout the nation. While G&E has secured a number of favorable settlements, cases in several other states are still moving forward to trial, so these cases will remain a major focus of Leanne’s practice.

Additionally, Leanne is involved in PFAS litigation against 3M Company; EIDP, Inc.; The Chemours Company; The Chemours Company FC, LLC; Corteva, Inc.; DuPont de Nemours, Inc.; and Dow, Inc. She is also involved in litigation against 3M Co. and other manufacturers of toxic firefighting foam laced with toxic PFAS chemicals, which are now present in groundwater, drinking water, and other public resources.

For both types of cases, she regularly handles pleadings; discovery: including expert witness and fact witness preparation, document requests, document production, and review and 2nd-level review of voluminous documents produced by our clients, defendants, and third parties; preparation for motion hearings, and trial preparation.

Leanne also has experience in securities class actions, shareholder derivative actions, antitrust actions, and appraisal rights. Prior to joining Grant & Eisenhofer, she worked at a Philadelphia law firm focusing on mass tort and complex civil litigation matters.

Outside the Office

I enjoy being outdoors and active, playing beach volleyball, kayaking, tubing, hiking, and bicycle riding. I enjoy live music and attending concerts.

Additionally, I love planning trips and traveling and exploring with family and friends. While out of town, I enjoy attending sporting events at different MLB, NFL, and NBA sports stadiums. When in warmer locations, I like to snorkel.

Finally, reading is another pastime of mine. I especially favor books involving history, law, government, and politics, as well as psychological thrillers and crime fiction.
