Salamon

My defense-side litigation experience provides me with a valuable dual perspective, which I utilize fully and strategically while advocating for our clients. While those clients are typically institutional investors, I never forget about the hardworking people behind them, who have entrusted us with their savings and pensions.

Overview

Areas of Focus

Experience

  • Represented multiple public pension funds in a federal securities class action against ProPetro Holding Corp., an oil and gas services company. The action alleged that ProPetro and certain of its executives engaged in financial misconduct, and that the company lacked adequate internal controls to prevent such misconduct. After three years of litigation, Grant & Eisenhofer and our co-counsel recovered $30 million on behalf of investors.
  • Grant & Eisenhofer filed direct actions on behalf of institutional investors against Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, Inc. and several of its executives based on a fraudulent scheme to conceal the company’s true financial position by operating a secret network of pharmacies, which defendants used to manipulate prescriptions and artificially boost sales. After the class action settled early on in the litigation process, we continued to advocate for our clients, ultimately obtaining a favorable settlement after eight years of litigation.
