  • Australia’s High Court dismissed BHP’s final appeal in October 2022, exhausting all appellate avenues.
  • After seven years of litigation in all three levels of the Australian court system, the parties reached an amicable resolution on September 9, 2025, on the eve of trial. The settlement was approved in December 2025.
